The makers of "Sada Haq" will move court, if the censor board doesn't give clearance to the Punjabi movie based on the days of militancy in the state. The film's release was postponed from October 26 for indefinite period after a censor board committee declined to give it any certificate. "If Parkash Jha's 'Chakravyuh' can be released, why not Sada Haq?" Kuljinder Sidhu, actor-producer of the Punjabi movie, stated here on Thursday. "Chakravyuh is not only based on the Naxalite movment but also it glorifies the Naxalite militants."

The Naxalite movment was not history yet and even the Prime Minister has listed it among the top-most security threats to India, said Sidhu. "The separatist movement in Punjab has died," said Dinesh Sood, co-producer of Sada Haq. "It is no more a threat to any state. People have moved on, and we have made a movie on the past days."

Like 'Chakravyuh', 'Sada Haq' also talks about political mistakes of the past that led to militancy and its aftermath. "We are a country mature enough to discuss our past," said Sidhu. "The movie's production was within the Indian Constitution and we expect its release to be under the same."

"Sada Haq is not an exceptional movie, and similar period films on political problems are made all over the world," said Sidhu. "We produced this movie for release in India. We haven't made anything to invite objection from the censor board. It was valid, if the board had asked us to remove a few scenes but was shocking that it blocked the release."
The producer said the board's reaction was an attack on the freedom of speech and expression. We demand our right," said Sidhu.
