So, all the young and beautiful Punjabi ladies, here is another song from one of the most popular names in Punjabi musical arena. Dilijit Dosanjh has hit the Punjabi musical circuit again and this time the song is dubbed as ‘Proper Patola’!!!
A name that is now synonymous with existing recorded music of Punjab, Dilijit Dosanjh, clambered up the ladder of fame after joining hands with Honey Singh. His Bollywood playback debut, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 also entered the castle of popularity. Now, he is carrying ‘Proper Patola’ in his bag of music.
In one of the interviews, he said that this song is a tribute to non-Punjabi audiences. The song has simple lyrics, quite easily perceived by non-Punjabi ears. It’s an R&B track and the entire album needs some time to meet its final stop.
One of the reporters could not resist asking him whether he loves singing for Punjabi cinema or Hindi cinema. He candidly responded that he loves Punjabi music because the authority of experiments that he carries. Oh, the Jatt and Juliet 2 actor does not get too much flexibility in Bollywood music. Undoubtedly the singer/actor is highly acclaimed in his state and is a heartthrob of many Punjabi girls.
He seems to be preoccupied with scores of Punjabi films and stage shows. He really does not get time to ponder about Bollywood, says Dilijit. He accepted that he sang for MDKM and YPD2 because the lyrics were written by his friend. But he appears to be satisfied with his Punjabi career.
The Punjabi singer has more inclination for Punjabi cinema. According to him, if a Punjabi and a Hindi movie release on the same day, there is a more proclivity for the former one in Punjab. There is a multitude of frivolous movies in Bollywood as well, says Dilijit. So, there is nothing to worry about for Punjabi cinema and is nowhere threatened by the existence of Hindi movies.
Till the time Dilijit comes out with the complete album, his new song is ready to be played in homes, college parties, and discotheques.
