Alfaaz set to take off for acting debut with ‘Jatt Airways’

In what can be termed as another romantic comedy in the offing for Punjabi movie buffs, ‘Jatt Airways’ is sure to take off to another level of entertainment in next February. Presented under the banner of Vision India Productions Pvt Ltd, the movie is produced by Sumit Goyal & Anil Garg and directed by Harjit Singh Ricky. The movie stars Tulip Joshi, Alfaaz, who, after rocking the charts with hits like ‘Yaar Bathere’, is all set to make his debut in Punjabi cinema, Padam, Smriti Khanna, Jaswinder Bhalla, B.N.Sharma , Binnu Dhillon, Karamjit Anmol, Rana Jang Bahadur,Deepak Raja & Kulwant Gill among others. Addressing mediapersons at the Mahurat shot of the movie here on Saturday, Ricky, who recently gave a hit ‘Sirphire’ said, “Jatt Airways is a romantic comedy. It is a story about two young sisters and brothers who want to get married in the same house.” Commenting on the title of the movie, Ricky quipped, “Jatt Airways is an unusual romantic journey of four youngsters who deal with a string of funny events that take place in their lives. Talking about his plunge from singing to acting Alfaaz said, “I am very happy to be a part of Jatt Airways. In fact, it’s quite a transition for me.” Following the footsteps of Harbhajan Maan, Gippy Grewal, Diljeet Dosanj etc Alfaaz, who shot the limelight with his album Alfaaz – The boy next door, wants to make it really big in acting as well. Adding more grace and wit to Jatt Airways will be Tulip Joshi who has given hits like Jag Jeondayan De mele and Yaar o Dildaara with Harbhajan Maan. Talking about her stint in movies she said, “Acting just happened to me. It was not planned. My previous Punjabi movies had a different genre but Jatt Airways seems to be a fun script and I am looking forward to work on it.” Penned by renowned writer Rajan Aggarwal, the brilliant music has been given by Punjabi rapper Honey Singh. Sharing his views producer Sumit Goyal said, “The music of the movie is going to a big hit among audiences. Besides, what will add to the USP is that from story to cinematography to songs – everything has something to catch the attention of the audience.” Echoing similar views producer Amit Garg asserted that the movie that is scheduled to be shop at picturesque locales of Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and abroad too is sure to keep up with the entertainment quotient. Moreover, the songs sung by Rahet Fateh Ali Khan, Sonu Nigam, Master Salim among others will only make the film more vibrant.
