When we have a Garaari for something, we simply do it and don’t bother about the consequences. Same seems to be the case with the producers and director of Ishq Garaari. With a story line up completely nuisance, star cast far away from acting, technicalities never worked in detail, Ishq Garaari is a major setback.

As the name suggests the movie is a blend of tales of love. Sharry (Sharry Mann) who is a struggling lyricist cum singer has fondness for Preeti (Prabhleen Sandhu), daughter of a Tempo Transporter, Makhan Singh. Makhan Singh, who has a big fleet of tempos, challenges Sharry to earn a handsome sum of 70 Lakh Rupees in order to marry his daughter. Sharry and Boondi (Mukesh Vohra) think of kidnapping Sweety (Gunjan Walia), Makhan Singh’s younger daughter to get that amount in ransom. However Boondi inadvertently kidnaps the wrong Sweety (Mandy Takhar), who idolises Miss Pooja and dreams of being a successful singer. Jatinder (Ranvijay Singh) and Varinder (Gulzar Chahal) are attracted to Sweety (Mandy Takhar) and ready to do anything to get her off the hooks. The movie also features Miss Pooja and Vinaypal Buttar also Jassi Gill does a cameo in it.

No doubt, Dheeraj Rattan is a talented writer, stories written by him have turned out to be Punjabi Blockbusters, but I wonder has all the glaze gone dull for him in the recent times? His previous film Saadi Love Story had a poor story and same is the case with Ishq Garaari, a story which goes beyond your intellect, dragged at several points. The movie lacks punches, very rare you find the moments to break off laughter in this RomCom. Also, Dheeraj has given an average direction to the movie.

It’s a well-established fact that performances win hearts not names or statures. The movie had big names in big quantity but all they brought was disappointment. Sharry Mann, Mandy Takhar, Gulzar Chahal, Miss Pooja, Vinaypal Buttar were far away from acting.

The only thing you can enjoy in the movie is Sharry Mann’s voice. He has a couple of songs in it and you are bound to like them. Also Jassi Gill fans will be happy to see him doing a cameo in the movie.

All in All the movie is a major disappointment and can be ignored.
